Sheri Scott Csci, FIBMS
Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science, Nottingham Trent University
Sheri Scott is a Senior Lecturer and course leader for the IBMS accredited BSc Applied Biomedical Science at Nottingham Trent University. Her areas of expertise are Clinical Biochemistry, POCT, Healthcare Science education, Professional Practice and lab sustainability. Sheri joined NTU in January 2018 after a career covering 22 years working in Clinical Biochemistry in NHS laboratories. She is an advocate for continual professional development and sustainability.
Her previous roles include Senior Biomedical Scientist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, Training Lead in Blood Sciences at Royal Derby Hospital and Biomedical Scientist at Nottingham City Hospital.
Sheri is a chartered scientist and a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist professional. She is an active Fellow member of the Institute of Biomedical Science. Her professional activities include assessor for the Science Council, IBMS Clinical Biochemistry advisory panel member, chief examiner of the Higher Specialist Diploma, to name a few. She is also involved in the national STEM ambassador programme, promoting careers in science in schools.
